How wonderful that we have such easy access to heritage tomato seeds through suppliers such as The Diggers Club, Eden Seeds, and The Italian Gardener to name a few.

This makes an enormous difference to any home gardener as it means we don’t have to solely rely on the more commercial varieties in big nurseries. There are so many different shapes, sizes and colours of heritage tomatoes and whilst they all have different characteristics, flavour is key.

Truly flavoursome tomatoes need nothing more than a drizzle of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, a sprinkle of salt and pepper and perhaps a little basil to make the perfect dish. - Maggie
